Rita Bright Family and Youth Center

The Rita Bright Family & Youth Center is named after long-time Columbia Heights businesswoman and community organizer, Rita Bright.

It is open year-round offering educational and recreational programming to DC youth ages 6-24. Safe, fun, enriching programs are available to young people representing the diversity of the neighborhood it serves and are open to all DC youth and families.

WALK INTO THIS CLUB AFTER 3 PM AND YOU WILL FIND CHILDREN AND YOUTH ENGAGED IN STRUCTURED LEARNING ACTIVITIES AND RECREATIONAL FUN. YOU WILL HEAR ENGLISH AND SPANISH AND ALL THE LANGUAGES OF OUR COMMUNITY. YOU WILL SEE WHAT EVERY PARENT WANTS IN THEIR COMMUNITY: A SAFE, STRUCTURED, FUN, AND HEALTHY PLACE FOR THEIR CHILDREN TO LIVE, GROW, AND THRIVE.”
