Careers

Join the Latin American Youth Center team and support young people on their path to success! We provide innovative programs that help youth build brighter futures through education, career support, and community engagement.

Throughout Washington DC and Maryland’s Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties, our staff serves the region’s most deserving youth. LAYC staff provide GED and job readiness programs, HIV and pregnancy testing, arts and recreation, mental health and substance use treatment, housing assistance, and other services.

As the area’s youth development needs have grown, LAYC has grown, too. We have a staff of nearly 200, operating at three sites and at dozens of service points through partner organizations and schools. Our annual budget is $19 million.

While career opportunities are available in fields ranging from case management to administration, all LAYC staff are youth developers. Everything we do is within a positive youth development framework, which involves engaging young people in achieving their full potential by providing opportunities and services along with the mentoring support of a competent, caring adult.

At LAYC, you will find smart people, innovative programs, commitment to our area’s youth, strong leadership, and diversity that reflects the communities we serve.

We hope that you consider joining us. Working at LAYC will change your life, as you change lives.
