LAYC ENOUGH Initiative
Latin American Youth Center Selected as ENOUGH Initiative Grantee to Combat Economic Insecurity in Prince George’s County
Riverdale, Maryland – Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) is grateful to be selected as an ENOUGH (Engaging Neighborhoods, Organizations, Unions, Governments, and Households) Initiative grantee as part of a state-led, innovative approach by Maryland Governor Wes Moore. LAYC serves as the lead agency in partnership with respected community-based organizations and government stakeholders. As a collective, we will develop a place-based strategy that prioritizes community-driven solutions to address generational economic insecurity in East Riverdale/Adelphi in Prince George’s County.
As a Track 2 Plan Development grantee, LAYC and 22 partners will focus the work of Project ERASE Poverty on community asset mapping, needs assessments, and engaging residents in designing a neighborhood action plan to increase economic stability.
“I am excited for LAYC to be part of this initiative and together with our partners work towards solutions. It is critical that we continue to listen to our communities to learn about their needs in order to invest in the right resources.” - Lupi Quinteros Grady, President/CEO
We are excited to be part of this collective impact model, which brings together partners and expertise to strengthen our community's ecosystem.
With this support, we will create meaningful, lasting change by strengthening collaboration across sectors, including education, health, workforce development, housing, and community safety.
