LAYC ENOUGH Initiative

Latin American Youth Center Selected as ENOUGH Initiative Grantee

Riverdale, Maryland – Latin American Youth Center was selected to receive a grant through Governor Wes Moore’s ENOUGH Initiative. The ENOUGH (Engaging Neighborhoods, Organizations, Unions, Governments and Households) Initiative is a state-led, place-based strategy that prioritizes community-driven approaches to combatting generational childhood poverty.

“I am excited for LAYC to be part of this initiative and together with our partners work towards solutions. It is critical that we continue to listen to our communities to learn about their needs in order to invest in the right resources.” - Lupi Quinteros Grady, President/CEO

Latin American Youth Center will use the $300,000 to support its work addressing the root causes of poverty in Prince George’s County. With this support, we will create meaningful, lasting change by strengthening collaboration across sectors, including education, health, workforce development, housing and community safety.

As a Track 2: Plan Development grantee, we along with our partners in Prince George’s County to work on focusing community asset mapping and needs assessments, with the aim to engage community residents in a process to develop a Neighborhood Action Plan to increase economic mobility and end childhood poverty.
