Join the DC Education AmeriCorps team and the LAYC community for our MLK Day of Service Event, dedicated to honoring Dr. King’s legacy through service and community engagement.

This event features two exciting components:

• Resource Fair: Connect with local nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations to learn about available resources and discover volunteer opportunities for youth and families.

• Breakout Discussion Sessions: Engage in meaningful conversations with community leaders about ways young people can get involved across the District. Participants will also complete a small service project during the session, fostering a spirit of service and civic responsibility.
