Safe Housing

On any given night, there are an estimated 500 homeless youth in the District of Columbia; virtually all of them are on the street through no fault of their own.

LAYC’s housing department aims to connect homeless and vulnerable youth to safe and stable housing. LAYC offers bilingual staff, a culturally sensitive environment, and support services to youth of diverse backgrounds and needs. Youth are able to receive a wide variety of services from safe housing to employment assistance and education re-enrollment. Youth can access a wide variety of resources through collaboration with case managers in our Drop-in Center and our housing programs.
