Welcome!

You have entered LAYC’s new youth page, created by youth for youth and the community.

We often hear it and it is TRUE: Young people have a voice. You can hear these voices and learn about topics young people care about through the Immediate Reaction blog, a new-media journalism project led by youth at LAYC’s Arts + Media House; LAYC’s Facebook group, a network of young people and adults; and through written pieces by LAYC youth in the Decimos [We Say] section.

Immediate Reaction: Research, analysis, video commentaries, audio+photo slideshows, and links to other information across the Internet. All work here is created by members of the Immediate Reaction team, participants in the Arts + Media House Immediate Reaction class.

Decimos: Youth correspondents will cover LAYC events and bring you the scoops on everything from issues affecting young people and the community to latest fashion at the DC USA Mall.

Facebook: LAYC’s Facebook group page allows young people to connect, spark conversation, promote their events and causes and much more.

Hey DC! Hey Prince George’s! Hey Montgomery County! Through this page, LAYC wants to help young people connect to other youth like you. Discover what’s in your neighborhood, meet new friends and learn how to get involved in your community.

Thanks for visiting and come again soon!
