: a group of people who have the same interests, race, etc.
: a group of nations

At LAYC, we strive to be all of those things and more for the youth and families who live in our communities. We’ve been in Columbia Heights, in northwest Washington since 1968, and in Prince George’s and Montgomery County since 2005. Walk through our doors and you’ll find the Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) is a place of diversity, respect, and most of all, a place that believes in the dreams of our young people.

LAYC offers programs and services at all of our sites year-round. We work with in-school and out-of-school youth. We also partner with area schools to offer programs during the school day and after school. All of our programs are without cost and available to low-income families of all ethnic backgrounds.

When your child tells you about LAYC, you may have questions. We’ve organized links to the information that parents request most often.
