The goal of a Community School at LAYC is to integrate academics, health and social services, youth and community development, and community engagement, to improve to increase student academic achievement and ensure family well-being. A community school represents a set of partnerships between the school and community resources that support students and families in and beyond the classroom.
YouthBuild Public Charter School (YBPCS) is an alternative high school for young people seeking to transform their lives by re-engaging in their education in a non-traditional school environment. This is an opportunity for direct youth one-on-one engagement via tutoring, and limited mentoring.
