Top Fundraisers Prizes
To thank our highest Team LAYC fundraisers, we are offering the following prizes to the team members who raise the top three fundraising amounts for both the Marathon and MCM10K:
How much do I have to raise?
Marathon runners will be required to raise at least $500, while MCM10K runners will raise at least $300. At registration, you will pay a $50 registration fee that will count towards your overall fundraising goal. At that point, you will be able to set up your fundraising page to solicit donations from family, friends, businesses, and/or other donors. If you are unable to raise your required amount by August 15th, your credit card will be charged the remaining balance to reach your minimum fundraising level.
How can I register for the marathon?
After you raise your minimum fundraising level, LAYC will send you an email with your activation code for the MCM or MCM10K. At that point, you will have until August 30th to register with the MCM.
Can I run if I’m under 18?
As long as you are age 14 or above as of October 22, 2017 and you have the signed approval of your parent/guardian, you can race with Team LAYC. All runners must sign a waiver on the MCM website, which you’ll gain access to after fundraising your minimum amount.
Running the MCM or MCM10K is entirely at your own risk. By registering to run with Team LAYC, Latin American Youth Center is in no way liable for any illness or injury resulting from training and/or participating in the race.
No Federal or Marine Corps endorsement of advertisers or sponsors is implied.
