Class Descriptions
Fine Arts:
Drawing
Are you always drawing? Learn different techniques to expand your drawing skills starting with pencil and move into charcoal and pastels.
Graffiti
Always doodling in classwant to turn that into art? Learn the art and business of graffiti and put some style and power in your words.
MixedMedia
Mix it all up. Simply make art from anythingpaper, collage, or use found objects. Many of the projects will create art you can use.
Painting
Students will learn to cover the surface. Focus will be on learning use of traditional and non-traditional materials. Youth will develop layers upon layers on wood, canvas, postal wrap, and other surfaces to create a work of art that is finished up to that point.
Media:
Funky Photo
Using photographs as a starting point you will create collaged images by adding writing, paint or drawing.
Beatmaking
Make your own beats with a computer and real instruments to create professional music (Reggaeton/Hip Hop/Rock) that is all you.
Music Recording
Are you always making music? You will learn audio engineering and record your music in the Art & Media House studio sound room.
Photography
Do you love taking pictures? Learn to use a 35mm camera and print your black & white photos in a darkroom.
Photoshop
Ever wonder what your sister looks like with a mustache? Learn to manipulate images on the computer into works of art or just plain fun.
Video Production
Are you a movie director waiting to be discovered, if so, this is the class for you. Learn how to plan it, shoot it, and edit it.
Performance Classes
Hip-Hop Dance
Want to dance like Usher or Ciara? Come learn how to do the hottest moves in hip-hop dance, reggaeton and pop & lock.
DJ
Learn the art and business of DJ’ing. Get hands-on experience with mixing, scratching and blending. Use Vinyl and CD’s. All music is welcome.

Art Entrepreneur Program
Be part of the art team that earns money making art. Group meets on the second Saturdays’. Must apply.
Second Saturday From 10:30am-2:30pm a variety of one-time workshops to try out something new. (March 10, April 14, May 12, and June 9)
Youth registration fee is $15 - Registration covers cost of classes and supplies for youth age 12-18.
