Evening Reporting Center

The Evening Reporting Center (ERC) is a non-secure community based program. It provides enhanced supervision which will serve those youth who are awaiting trial, committed to DYRS’ custody, or those who require supervision and support during the evening hours of 4:00p.m. to 8:30p.m. The ERC will consist of recreational , rehabilitative, educational and cultural programming in a nurturing and structured environment.

ERC will be an integral part of the continuum of care the District is developing. They are more restrictive than in-home options, but less restrictive than shelter homes and locked facilities; forming an important component in the District’s efforts to reduce youth’s re-arrests and their failure to appear for court hearings.

The ERC will provide services for up to 30 youth at a time with a maximum stay of 30 days (15 day extensions may be recommended by CSS).

The Latin American Youth Center’s ERC will operate at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington Clubhouse #6 located at 801 Shepherd St. NW. Washington, DC 20011.
