Demographics

This section summarizes the demographic information for the individuals served by the Latin American Youth Center.

During Fiscal Year 2009 (October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009), LAYC served 4,214 individuals, and had a total of 8,509 participants.

LAYC tracks both the number of individuals served (unduplicated count) and the number of participants served (duplicated count). A single individual can be counted in one or multiple programs as a participant. Therefore, the number of participants served (duplicated count) will always be higher than the number of individuals served (unduplicated count). Since LAYC feels that the count of individuals provides the most accurate data, all of the documents in this section focus on individual counts (unduplicated counts).
