LAYC Corporate Partners
The Latin American Youth Center has formed partnerships with some of the largest companies in the country. Their support of our programs is integral to the success of LAYC, and we thank each corporate partner for being a good neighbor and a supporter of youth development. Check back regularly for updates.

Art + Media House Director Marie Moll updates Target's Donovan Charles about arts education at LAYC.
LAYC would like to thank corporate partner Target for its continued support of the Art + Media House (AMH). Target's Senior Community Relations Specialist Donovan Charles dropped by the house recently to take a tour and learn more about the great programs that AMH offers.
"What has been so great about support from Target is that it has been so consistent," Art + Media House Director Marie Moll said. "They have been supporting us from the beginning and have really helped the house become what it is today."
Marie and Arts Coordinator Ronald Chacon tell Donovan about AMH's mural project.
On his tour, Mr. Charles learned about the murals that AMH participants helped create across the city, the call boxes in Columbia Heights that participants refurbished to provide information about the community's history, and the leadership component that AMH offers to all youth who participate in its programs.
"Support of the arts on small and large scales is very important to the communities that we work in," Mr. Charles said. "Target continues to be extremely proud of the partnership that has formed with the Art + Media House." |

LAYC staff and volunteers from Capital One.
The Latin American Youth Center would like to sincerely thank the representatives from Capital One who took time out of their schedules to pick up a brush and help repaint the LAYC Teen Center. Four volunteers opted for jeans and t-shirts instead of their usual business attire and painted almost the entire Center!

LAYC would like to express its sincerest thanks to corporate partner Best Buy for the generous support that it is providing to the Center for the second year in a row!
Support from Best Buy will fund collaboration between the Center's Art + Media House and Advocacy Division that will teach youth leadership skills and provide them with advocacy training. This knowledge will be developed through the lens of art, as a means of healthy self-expression and a tool for extending their education by exploring community issues.
