Join us for an information session from Girls Who Code at LAYC’s Teen Center. Rising high school juniors and seniors are welcome to attend.

Girls Who Code’s Summer Immersion Programs are free 7-week programs for rising junior and senior girls to learn coding and get exposure to tech jobs and join a supportive sisterhood of thousands of girls across the US. Applications for summer 2017 are open now!

In the Summer Immersion Program, students will learn about:

Tech Companies — They’ll meet female engineers and get an inside look at technical roles in the world’s top companies.
Project-based learning — They’ll learn computer science through real-world projects in art and storytelling, robotics, video games, websites, apps and more!
Sisterhood — They’ll work in teams and make lifelong friendships with a supportive and diverse community of thousands of girls.

In addition to providing a free program, Girls Who Code provides summer stipends to cover transportation and living costs for Summer Immersion Program students! The summer stipend is available for all Summer Immersion Program applicants who qualify
