LAYC’s Promotor Pathway® staff is thrilled to congratulate the 41 program youth who earned their high school diplomas this spring! The Pathway is an intensive, long-term case management model that provides youth facing multiple obstacles with the resources and support they need to reach their education, employment, and life goals. The model, which focuses on creating and maintaining strong one-on-one relationships between youth and staff, has been designated effective by the federal Corporation for National and Community Service, based on its impressive outcomes.
Of the 41 Class of 2017 graduates, 29 youth earned their diplomas from Prince George’s County Public Schools, 11 graduated from DC Public Schools, and one finished in Montgomery County. Each and every one of these young people worked incredibly hard work to reach their goals, and we could not be more proud of them!
